Completed: 2015
This development entailed the renovation of a 125,000 sq. ft. office building that had been damaged by Hurricane Ike. Its prominent location at the north west corner of Loop 610 and unique pre-existing geometry provided the inspiration to produce a memorable building with a new interpretation of existing conditions. This building required an exhaustive evaluation of all existing conditions by every discipline involved and a creative response to those conditions. This new creation is a medical office building containing medical practices of various disciplines, a surgical suite, and the managing entity for those practices. In addition, a new 450-car parking garage was included in the program adjacent to the building.
The length of this project from design to completion was approximately two years. This architect operated on a contract basis with the architect of record and functioned as project manager and direct assistant to the same architect.
