This development entailed the renovation of a 125,000 sq. ft. office building that had been damaged by Hurricane Ike. Its prominent location at the northwest corner of Loop 610 and its unique pre-existing geometry inspired to create a memorable building with a new interpretation of existing conditions. This project required an exhaustive evaluation of all existing conditions by every discipline involved, and a creative response to those conditions. The result is a medical office building containing various medical practices, a surgical suite, and a managing entity for those practices. Additionally, a new 450-car parking garage was included in the program adjacent to the building.
The length of this project, from design to completion, was approximately two years. This architect operated on a contract basis with the architect of record and functioned as the project manager and direct assistant.
